Peek Translate is operated by Dionsys Apps in Hanoi, Vietnam through peektranslate.com and related services. Privacy and data protection questions may be sent to legal@peektranslate.com.

Data we may collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect contact information such as your email address, subscription and transaction metadata, support messages, device and application diagnostics, abuse-prevention signals, and limited usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information, and you should avoid submitting highly confidential data unless you are comfortable with the third-party processing required to provide the service.

Sources of data

We may receive data directly from you, from product interactions, from support communications, and from payment or anti-fraud partners involved in operating subscriptions and maintaining service integrity.

How we use data

Data is used to provide the product, process payments, authenticate subscriptions, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain service security, send account-related notices, comply with legal obligations, and improve the user experience. Where permitted by law, we may also use aggregated or de-identified operational data to analyze product performance and usage trends.

Legal bases and business purposes

Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we generally process data because it is necessary to provide the service you request, necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, necessary to comply with legal obligations, or based on your consent where consent is required.

Translation content

Text submitted for translation is processed to provide translation results. Based on the current product design, Peek Translate does not intentionally store the full content of user translations after processing is complete, except where temporary technical handling, short-lived caching, security review, debugging, or abuse prevention is reasonably necessary to deliver and protect the service. Peek Translate should not be used as long-term storage for source text or translated content.

Payments

Payments for the Pro plan are processed by Paddle. Paddle may collect and process payment information according to its own policies.

Third-party processors

We may rely on third-party service providers such as Paddle for billing and subscription operations, Supabase for infrastructure or data services, and AI providers such as OpenAI and Google for translation-related processing. Those providers may process data in multiple jurisdictions under their own policies, security controls, and operational requirements. We select providers we believe are commercially reasonable for an independent software business, but we do not control every aspect of third-party systems.

Analytics and diagnostics

We may collect basic analytics and technical diagnostics, such as feature usage patterns, approximate device or application information, error logs, performance signals, and abuse indicators, to understand traffic, improve reliability, troubleshoot issues, and reduce misuse of the service.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website or supporting services may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for essential site functionality, checkout continuity, analytics, fraud prevention, security, or remembering basic preferences. If your browser disables certain storage technologies, some site features may function poorly or not at all.

Storage and security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. However, no transmission, vendor environment, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal, tax, accounting, or audit obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Translation content is not intended to be stored after processing except for temporary processing or short operational retention where needed for reliability, debugging, or abuse prevention. Billing, tax, support, and account-related records may be retained for longer periods where legally or operationally required.

International access

If you use Peek Translate from outside the country where the service is operated, your data may be processed in other jurisdictions where our providers or infrastructure operate.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting legal@peektranslate.com. We may need to verify your identity, request more detail, or retain limited information where necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, account security, or legitimate business recordkeeping. Depending on your location, you may also have the right to object to certain processing or request a copy of certain data.

Children's privacy

Peek Translate is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required by applicable law to consent to digital services on their own. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective or last updated date on this page.
